Tuesday Night Stories, Founded In Battle

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

Since part 4 of Founded in Battle finished up the story last week, we’re releasing the full story this week as usual. If you’re joining us for the first time, this is a great chance to see what we’re all about. FiB was an attempt to take a closer look at a typical fantasy hero party that is setting out on their grand adventure. Each week was told through another viewpoint exploring what brought these people together for this journey. It was fun getting to explore the different characters and their motivations to travel with the others.

Make sure to join us next week for the start of story #6, I have some interesting ideas for it. As always, I hope you enjoy the story!

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Thanks for joining us for the thrilling conclusion of Founded In Battle! Morine accepts her place as part of the crowd as the four are thrust into the first battle of their journey, to protect Sandall itself! Just as an aside, this is by far my favorite thing I’ve ever written. I hope you all agree! Next week will be the whole story, so we’ll see you in two weeks for a brand new story! Have any ideas for one? Now’s a good time to tell them!

As always, thanks for listening!

Tuesday Night Stories 5, Part 1

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Brought to you a day late this week (and at a late hour, but you can blame my work for that one)! TNS #5 is an idea that David had and we both thought sounded fun.  The story is called “Founded In Battle.” The original idea for it was to take four characters at the eve of a battle and take a look at their pasts and what brought them together. An added bonus has been getting to explore how a small group of trained adventurers can make a huge difference.

As always, I hope you enjoy the story. Feel free to leave your ideas in the comments and help guide the story.

Tuesday Night Stories, Special Feature

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

We have a very special treat tonight on TNS! I’m proud to share the prologue of my current draft of The Forest Awakens. This story means a whole lot to me. The main characters are all based on my sisters, nieces and nephews. I was fascinated by how different they each was from one another. It was fun trying to put those personalities into characters in a novel. The prologue starts it all off with a Faerie princess, Lorynne, who is based on my little sister.

The novel is the tale of young Colby Chemil, a kid used to being different. When the headmaster of his school, Kalthero Beldonas, suddenly disappears, the new headmaster’s brutal tactics force Colby to flee to a mysterious forest. As he travels, the forest itself helps guide him to questions about his past. While he is away, his best friends take it upon themselves to find their old headmaster, and discover how he was so quietly deposed.

As always, I hope you enjoy the story. Narrated by David Carroll.

In this part, Sildon must discover what allies might be on his side.

Tuesday Night Stories 4, Part 4

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Part 4 of Deposed continues the meeting between King Ralon and Marcus Thaine. Marcus must decide if he will assist Ralon, and Ralon must figure out just how far he can trust the old man. Loyal or not, the man was once a mercenary and prices must be considered. Once again, my apologies about the silence last week. All is more at well with the world this week.

As always, I hope you enjoy the story.
