With the direction the economy is taking, lately I’ve been worrying about how we are going to make it with two home businesses. We both enjoy what we do, but people are spending less all over the world. That has already had an impact on our income, and I worry about it becoming more drastic in the next year.

For this reason, I decided it was time to go out and look for more steady work. I’ve applied for a few positions in local schools and recently was contacted by two of them. The first is a substitute teacher for Fort Worth ISD. I have to take my papers and be fingerprinted on the 9th. I should find out in the next month of so if I can get a job through them. More positive is a position I applied for at Tarrant County College. It was an opportunity that I was informed about and I jumped on it. Today I was emailed and found out I have an interview with her on Wednesday. Not perhaps the most popular choice for things to do on ones birthday, but I’m excited about it. I’m looking at it as a good omen that it is my birthday, hopefully that will also show some dedication by being eager to show up on that day.
