About Robert W. Leonard
Well, where do I begin? I guess with the basics, then. I'm a geek, I always have been. I wrote my first web page at 12 years old. Now-a-days that doesn't seem like that big of deal (I spent some time teaching 8-year-olds more than what I did...), but it was a bit less common in 1993. Since then I've dabbled in a number of fields, from restaurants to owning my own web design business, but it was only recently that I decided I really wanted to be more involved in education and writing. So I went back to school and I'm working on a degree to teach English. Eventually I would like to run my own after-school writing programs, but teaching seemed like a good start. I currently live in Texas with my wife and a few animals taking turns being the most annoying pet. In 2008 I finished writing my second novel, The Forest Awakens, which I am currently seeking representation for. In 2009 I started my new novel about a soldier who slips into the life of crime. It is as of yet untitled. I also spend time dabbling in world building while I develop my first epic fantasy series, The Lands of Draknor. The series has a MMORPG that I run based on it. When I'm not working I like to read, play or program on my MUD, play games, design game levels, and so on. Probably about average for a fantsy writer. I am a big political buff and I study it a great deal. I could see myself one day wanting to write books in the field, so it wouldn't surprise me if I took a stab at it. That would be much later though. Fantasy is what I enjoy writing right now. Back to being a geek, if you want to see more about the geeky stuff I do check out the programming page. I sort of dedicated that portion of the site to being a computer nerd. Thanks for reading about me, check out the links on the left if you want to find out more in-depth information about the different things I like. |
